Do I need an account to use Stemning?

What kind of photos give the best results?
Most photos work great: people, pets, products, teams, and places. The best results usually come from sharp images with one clear subject. The AI analyzes your upload first, then applies each mood while keeping your subject recognizable.
How long does generation take?
Preview generation is usually around 30–60 seconds per style. 4K files are prepared after you choose to download, and open automatically as soon as they're ready.
Can I use generated images for business or client work?
Yes. If you have rights to the original photo, you can use the generated versions for social, marketing, client presentations, ads, and other commercial use.
What if the result doesn't look right?
It should usually look right on the first try, but every photo is different and it's easy to iterate. Tap regenerate to get another shot instantly. If you want more control, long-press regenerate to add adjustment guidelines (for example: “softer light” or “cleaner background”) and rerun the style.
Do you support Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)?
Yes. You can connect your own API key (Gemini or xAI) in account settings and keep using Stemning for free on up to 3 active photos. If you want more room, there is a separate one-time BYOK Unlimited unlock so you do not have to buy credits just to keep using your own key.
Which AI image model do you use?
The AI currently generates images with Google Gemini or xAI Grok image models. By default it uses Gemini (gemini-3-pro-image-preview), but BYOK users can also choose xAI Grok Imagine models. It also uses gemini-2.5-flash to analyze your photo before generation so the style output better matches your subject.
